KESWICK JAZZ FESTIVAL

The Festival will comprise 110 music events, running from 11.30am on Thursday 13
th May to 11.00pm on Sunday 16th May, hosted by 18 different venues. In addition there will be three jazz talks by prominent musicians and four mornings of jive/swing-dance workshops. An outline programme of all events follows below and overleaf. Full details, including exact times and venues for each event, location of venues and information on free "jazzbus" services linking venues, will be given in the Festival Souvenir Programme. This will be available from mid-April 2010 by post from Theatre by the Lake, Lakeside, Keswick CA12 5DJ (phone 017687 – 74411) at £3.95 inc. postage.
ADMISSION TO EVENTS
Admission to all but a few Festival music events will be by stroller badge only.
TRAVEL AND TOURIST INFORMATION
Exceptions, where admission is free, are two concerts featuring Keswick School Jazz Orchestra, the jazz church service, the "jazz songs of praise", ten other events at small open venues, and, of course, the Festival street parade, the Jennings JazzAperitif and the Jennings Jazzdray event! Ticket-holders must come to the Jazz festival Office at Theatre by the Lake to exchange their tickets for stroller badges before attending music events. (The Jazz Festival Office will be open daily from Wed 12th May.) The jazz talks and dance workshops are optional extras and will be separately ticketed.
