In a very short time this band have established a reputation  as one of the finest traditional ensembles playing in the UK  jazz circuit. Essentially a West Country band, they are led by  the masterly reed playing of Jeremy Huggett. The band  comprises of six first class musicians each with his own  impressive credentials gained through years of playing jazz

Sunday 12.00 – 2.30pm Alan Pickering’s Spirit of New Orleans

Formed some nine years ago by trombonist Alan Pickering,  the ‘Spirit of New Orleans’ does exactly what it says on the label!! They keep the unique and infectious music of New Orleans alive with a combination of jazz musicians dedicated to the cause. Many players will be well known to Jazz aficionados.
